Why can't I get to my web site?

When you can't get to your web site, first determine if your Internet connection is working. Try going to another site such as Yahoo.com or Google.com and see if it loads. If you are able to get to other web sites, try going to our web site (www.cleverconcepts.net). If you are unable to reach our web site, then please contact us and we'll figure out where the problem exists.

What are your name servers?

Our name servers are ns.cleverconcepts.net and ns2.cleverconcepts.net.

What incoming and outgoing mail servers should I use?

You should use mail.cleverconcepts.net for your incoming and outgoing mail server. However, some ISP's block their customers from using outgoing mail servers other than theirs. If your ISP blocks you from using any other outgoing mail server, you will need to use your ISP's outgoing mail server. Another option is to change your outgoing mail server settings so that the outgoing mail server requires authentication, set it to use the same setting as your incoming mail server, and set the outgoing mail server port to 587 instead of 25.

Why can't I send email?

If you are unable to send email, it is either due to not checking your email first or your ISP is preventing you from sending mail through our mail server.

We prevent non-customers from sending mail through our server by first requiring users to check their email. Once you have checked your email, you will be able to send email as long as you are connected to the Internet.

How can I check my email from someone elses computer?

You can access our web-based mail reader at:

http://mail.cleverconcepts.net

This web-based mail reader will allow you to view any of your email that's still on the server. It will not display any downloaded email, sent items, folders, or address book contacts that are in your computer's email client.

The web-based mail reader is not meant to be your primary email client. It is simply meant to act as a method to read your email while you're not at your computer.

Why did I receive an email from something@mail.cleverconcepts.net?

When someone (typically a spammer or virus) sends out an email and does not include a valid from email address, our mail server automatically appends @mail.cleverconcepts.net. This does not mean the email came from one of our users. Never trust a from address - anyone can send out email as any email address.
